Mental Health Awareness
The Indian River Firefighters Benevolent Association holds an annual golf tournament benefiting the Mental Health Association in Indian River County.
The goal of this tournament is to raise awareness and help “End the Stigma” on Mental Health within the Firefighting community. Depression and PTSD are 5 times more common in the first responder and over 85% of first responders have experienced symptoms related to mental health conditions. This year’s golf tournament is on October 7th and will be hosted at Vero Beach Country Club.
